Jack is my gentle giant! He has the sweetest disposition! He will greet you with a nicker! I purchased him for trail riding. He is a very laid back rider. He does well on the trails but will need more training if used on the roadway and a refresher if you let him stand for a long period of time without riding. We used to have a petting zoo/birthday party business on our farm and he was used for this. The children would ride with me on Jack and he did very well. He would also stand for long periods of time waiting during these parties and we never had an issue. When purchased two years ago his feet were not in the best shape, but now they are grown out and solid. He loves to be groomed, will fall asleep while doing so. He is good for the farrier, trailering, bathing etc. He is an easy keeper, will pretty much mix well with any horse/herd. He has been driven, but it has been probably about 7 years since doing so. He even has his own collar that was made for him. I purchased him because he was so gentle and a great beginner horse for the trails, but I would like to graduate to a horse that has more experience on the trails and road and a little bit more get-up-and-go. Not an easy horse to let go, he will be dearly missed!! Call Joan at 920-980-6058 if interested or priebej@archmil.org.
