YEAR OLD ROCKY MOUNTAIN COLT Excellent Rocky Mountain colt. can be registered Kentucky Mountain as well. Must be gelded to be Rocky. I have not registered him yet - waiting to see what buyer prefers. This colt has tiny black spots on his white socks. He is well gaited and has been gaiting since he was a baby born on my farm. Mother has champion parentage - Canadina Maritime Treasure, Lucifer, a black harness champion, and father is a natural high stepping chocolate w/ white mane and tail stallion, also great parentage. Stud was an extrememly friendly, womans horse. I expect the same from this colt. He is a one- month old filly for sale, out of same dam and stud... I will sell them together before she is weaned for $6500. after weaning her price will go up. She is gaiting at two weeks old, and she is the freindliest baby we have ever had. ROCKY MOUNTAIN HORSES They are outstanding for trail and endurance, since thier natural gait lets them travel far easily, and creates a bumpless ride. ( Video of drinking a glass of champagne while riding on internet somewhere) Gait can be fast or slow. Great for bad backs, beginners who are intimidated, or people who want to look good on a horse. I think this breed, while new to California, will soon become extremely popular. Quarter horses are bred for cows, and Arabs for crossing the desert. These horses are bred for people to ride. They are wonderful.
