Gem will foal in March 2014 15.3 hand baroque Friesian mare. She has been bred to Evan at Horsemeister in IL (shown in picture with saddle on and 'sitting' for his trainer and bareback rider). She is a beautiful solid black mare - will throw a 75% Friesian baby with Evan. Gem is 50% Friesian 50% Paint and every baby she has with non-Friesian stallions can be a registered as Friesian Sport Horse FSHR (25%). She is doing well with baby and has great veterinary & farrier care.
Is Gem still available? Is she broke to ride or used solely as a brood mare?
Yes she is still available and has been handled/ridden in camp environment with many children at Valor Stables - very nice size, also drives a carriage. I decided to breed her to get another friesian baby but after she has the baby in March, and after weaning, she will be ready to ride. My 16 yr old daughter was still lightly riding her at 6 months pregnant!
Dear Catherine, So nice to speak to last night. I am so happy I found you & Gem. I will let you know as soon as I speak to trainer re:my horse and his sale. Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
I forgot to tell you - she also drives a carriage! That is a plus to me, now that I am getting older, and driving is very popular! Let me know if you are serious because I have some people asking about her.

Simone called me tonight and she will meet Gem tomorrow at our stables. This mare is in foal to a Friesian stallion 'Evan' of www.horsemeister.com and should have that dream baby, in addition to being a nice riding mare.
