Very sweet and intelligent. Enough spunk to have fun w but sensible enough to be used in my small advanced beginner lesson program. Will w-t-c and pop over small courses in the ring w no issue and is good on trails, prefers to be w others but will go out alone w a more confident rider. He is lots of fun, prior to coming to my farm (2 yrs ago) he was used in lessons and camps for quite some time. He will cross tie, straight tie, lunge, bathe, but is not good w clipping. He isn’t dangerous, just obviously hasn’t been clipped much in his life. He will load and haul fine, sometimes hesitates and takes a second to get on but will load. Has been shown locally and was the same off property as he is on. He does require a little extra care to be taken w his feed but is a VERY EASY KEEPER w his feeding schedule. He has to be on softer first or second cut hay (1 flake per feeding here). He is kept on Hay Stretcher to supplement what he cannot get from lack of actual hay and is on a 14% Complete pelleted feed. He needed to have teeth pulled when we got him (bit of a rescue) but eats grass and soft hay just fine. Never choked, has no issues. He is barefoot and an easy keeper w what is above, keeps his weight fantastically. Good for vet, farrier and dentist. We *do* sedate all our horses for power work so I couldn’t tell you what he is like w out sedation.
