****ADOPT MAC BEFORE MARCH 20, 2014 (1st day of Spring) AND RECEIVE $50 OFF HIS ADOPTION FEE****
After much "waffling" for about a year, I decided to offer my registered Saddlebred gelding for adoption. Mac stands just shy of 16.3H and is 7 yrs old. I bought him with my own funds from Camelot Auction House in Sept 2009 with the intention of working with him for awhile then adopting him out. However, he is a friendly laid-back goofball that won my heart quickly so I thought he might be that western show horse I've been wanting for a long time. He was announced at the auction as broke to ride and drive but I have never hitched him. His training got put "on a back burner" a lot the first couple of years. Now that he has had more work, I am seeing a difference in his way of going that indicates his primary niche to be english (hunt seat or dressage) instead of western. He has a long stride, uses his hindquarters well and has motion in his extended trot. His height and long stride are a little intimidating for me because of my disabilities and although he enjoys just being a "pet," it is not the best thing for his brain now that he has physically matured. He has a current negative Coggins and is kept current on worming and hoof trims. It will not be easy to let him go, but I would love to see him excel with someone who is a better match for him. An adoption contract and fee are required. *The adoption fee includes the cost to transfer his registration.*
UPDATE 11/4/13: Mac was asked to jump for the very first time and he did awesome! He has never had any other training in preparation for regular fences but handled it well.
THIS TALL HANDSOME GELDING WILL KEEP SOMEONE WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR AMUSED WITH HIS GOOFY ANTICS BUT HE HAS A LOT OF HEART AND WANTS TO PLEASE.
