Marksman is a 2003 registered and branded bay Hanoverian gelding with four small white socks. He began his career as the Champion Hanoverian Foal at his 2003 inspection and was asked to remain a stallion by the Verband speaking volumes about his quality. In 2008 he was Reserve Champion at Cornerstone's Summer Festival in the Suitability to become a Dressage Horse Classes at 6 months under saddle. In 2009 at his first Gold show he was Training Level Open Champion of a very large field with scores of 74%+ and scored solid "8's" on his gaits. He concluded his first Gold show season at the Ontario Dressage Championships winning every First Level Open Class and becoming the Ontario First Level Open Champion. He continues to develop well and at his first Gold Second Level Open show May 21-23, 2010 he finished Second Level Open Champion. June 3-5, 2010 he was Cornerstone Second Level Open Reserve Champion with consistent scores between 66-71%. In all five Gold shows entered this season at Second Level he won a Open National class at each show with his non-pro rider. He concluded his season this past fall by winning the Ontario Second Level Reserve Open Championship. He is also schooling most Third Level movements easily. He is not a horse for a child or beginner due to his big movement, hot nature and forwardness. He will make an excellent partner for a competitve rider who wants a responisve, sensitive horse who has a solid and classical foundation. He is now ready for the next phase in his sport career. He is a sound horse with great feet with no vices under saddle or in the stable. Vaccinations, negative coggins and wormings are up to date.
