"Banjo" is a 13 year old finished WSCA gelding. He has run it all and he LOVES his job. Never had any gate issues, if anything he wants to charge into the gate. He runs 2D patterns at local large barrel races and can run pole weaving times in the 11's. He needs a confident rider as he has a lot of speed and can be high strung. He is not a horse you sit and ride through the pattern he needs someone who will keep his mind in the game. He has been to the State 4H horse show placing in western classes and all of his gaming classes. He has been to Champ Show the last 4 years (missing this year as I have a newborn) and has placed in poles 2 years and places top 15-20 in all the Sr. game classes. If he was kept in shape he could easily be in the placings in all classes but I don't get to ride near as much as I would like. When I do ride him at home we mainly ride western and don't run the patterns as he doesn't need them drilled into his brain anymore. He can go through anything on the trail and can go all day long but he is definitely a leader and wants to go faster. He has never had any lameness issues, been injected, and has always been barefoot. He stays at a great weight being on a round bale and getting 3 pounds of strategy a day. He has wonderful ground manners and could easily do the pleasure classes again if someone wanted to show him all around in 4H, his english is especially stunning! I have owned him since he was 3, the owners previous never sent in his registration so I am selling him grade but if someone wanted to register him I do have the application papers. He has a very quirky personality and is a lover and wants to please. He can sometimes be a little stinker to catch in the pasture but nothing too bad. He has won me many awards and has many years left in him, with starting my family I don't want to see him not getting used in my pasture so would love to see him go to a showing family!
We have also played around with cattle in the past and he loves to do that as well! We have also shown O-mok-see where he did very well, I have pulled sleds behind him in the winter, he stands tied all night long to the trailer for weekend trail rides, stands for clippers, farrier, vet, sheath cleanings. Is UTD on all vaccine and dentals. Loads in straight load or slant loads and is not buddy sour. I have run him in a tie down in the past but for the past 2 years I have not and just recently switched to the wonder bit for all classes and he does great in that. I ride him in a bob marshall and haven't had any issues.
