This lovely wee girl always aims to please and enjoys all of her work, whether that be a leisurely hack, training in the arena or having a blast in the field.
We have been taking her out since she was 4yrs, and her behaviour doesn't change in new environments.
She travels calmly, settles well and is never rude in hand or ridden.
Her first ever outing (a year ago) was to a Derby arena and a XC course - where she was bold over the show jumps and Derby obstacles and took on everything on the XC like she had seen it all before! She was making a nice clean shape over her fences, and to our surprise, took on ditches, the water complex and the raised road as if she had ridden them before.
I think she wore her biggest smile during her XC training! She really was remarkable - taking on everything in her path with confidence, including ditches, steps and water. She wasn't strong and absolutely loved her day out....!
She was ridden by 3 different riders, the youngest being a 15 yr old girl.
We have continued her education by taking her out and about where she continues to mature and develop with her training.
Her flat work is coming on REALY nicely and she has recently 'discovered' how active her hind leg is...!!
Her paces have just gone from strength to strength, and she is showing super promise in the dressage arena - allowing her rider to lengthen and collect her strides with ease.
This wee mare really excites me as a very promising dressage prospect.
She is good to hack out alone or in company where we regularly see heavy traffic including quarry lorries farm machinery. We also pass Alpacas and ride very close to a train line. (she also is very tolerant of our rather stupid Rotttie!)
Faye is good to catch ,load, wash and worm and with the dentist, she is also very polite with the farrier.
She is currently turned out in a mixed herd and is shod on the front only.
