Early May 30 I looked out to see a tiny foal following around Annie, our 15.1hh curly mare. The foal only came to her knees, so I knew he didn't belong to her. Our mare Sadie had foaled during the night, and the colt had run off with the wrong dam. We called Annie up to the barn and picked up the colt~he was the size of a cocker-spaniel with long legs! After putting the little guy safely in a stall we went and brought up his real dam, and reunited them. After that we decided to call him Sadie's Lady's Man.
This little colt should mature around 12.2hh, and is out of our CMC Sadie, a pony mare, and by CMC Midas Pale Prince, an ABCR curly stallion. ( His dam is about 10hh, and his sire is 15hh.) This stunning little colt is picture-perfect. His conformation is excellent, he's super curly, and best of all he's as sweet as they come. He doesn't have any white markings, and *should* keep his mane and tail all summer long. He also has a dorsal stripe and dorsal shading, making him a true dunskin. This colt can be registered with ABCR and ICHO, (we will register him with whichever registry the buyer wants ) and his paperwork for the other registry will be filled out and sent along with him. The buyer can choose his registered name.
A deposit will hold him until he's weaned at the end of September. In the meantime this little colt will be handled daily, and trained to lead, load into a 2 horse trailer, and to stand quietly for the vet and farrier.
Lady's Man has several siblings out there who are exceling at jumping, so he could also make a fantastic little hunter pony.
He's only $1200 to a great home. Check our Color Me Curly website for pictures and video. We can also help arrange hauling for Lady's Man, and his price includes a coggins and health certificate, so he will be all ready to go.
