Double Registered Red Dun Youth/Non-Pro Gelding
I just have NOTHING negative to say about "Dallas" other than I wish he were a mare because then I would keep him!!! This is one awesome gelding in every way. His ground manners are impeccable. His personality is exactly what we wish for in any horse but particularly in a youth mount. He is friendly, inquisitive, and extremely calm. He is happy to hang out in the cross ties
while everyone lavishes attention on him. His stall manners are equally pleasant. When he is turned out, you need only to say his name to "catch" him - he will come right over. Dallas tacks up quietly
and, while he works beautifully on the longeline, it really is not required. He is a tack and go horse.
Not only do we love him on the ground, we love him under saddle as well. Dallas has been successfully shown in Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle on both the ApHC and IBHA circuits. He is smooth and easy to ride with no complicated buttons to push. Dallas is rock solid walk/jog/lope/stop/back/sidepass with an excellent neckrein. He is truly an honest, safe, and very talented mount. It doesn't hurt that he is also quite easy on the eyes. He will be an excellent choice for the youth or nonpro.
Video of Dallas with an advanced beginner rider: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GDi45NXcvk This was their first ride together on a 40 degree breezy day. Dallas hadn't worked in 2 weeks. We also had Amish buggies going by the whole time. He is an extremely safe and good-minded boy.
