Dixie is a darling, big-bodied pony with tons of personality, flash, and just the right amount of sass! If her sweet face and pretty coloring doesn't win you over her fun personality is sure to. She greets you at the gate with a whinny, is eager to please and loves attention. She has had extensive groundwork training and has been going under saddle for about 6 months. She is doing well walk, trot, canter and has been started over poles and a few small x's. She is very sensitive to the aids and has wonderful, smooth gaits. Recently, Dixie has started going on longer trail rides and has taken to it like a house on fire! She seems to think tromping through the woods and gallivanting through fields is pretty fabulous. She is bold- will lead or follow- and has the step to keep up with the big horses. She also rides out alone without a problem. With more miles on the trail I am confident that she will become a steadfast partner for the avid trail rider. She is big enough to carry a small woman-rider in the photo is 5'4". At this point, Dixie is not suitable for a very small child or beginner due to her sensitive nature, level of training, and general zest for life- but with more time she may become a nice child/beginner pony.
