17", New!, made when Crosby was still CrosbyThis saddle looks the same as the day I bought it! The reason for that is that it has only two short rides on it. A 17" Prix des Nations, I bought this saddle in 1994 to use as a show saddle. Unfortunatley, when I got home from the tack shop that day, the vet was here at the barn. My horse had an illness that prevented him from being shown any more. The first ride in this saddle was a 15 minute ambling walk just to say that after all that time saving to buy a new saddle, I had actually rode in it. Well now time has gone by, and I am no longer that 15 year old kid that bought this beautiful saddle, and a funny thing happens as you get older.... my backside got a lot bigger. The second ride in this saddle was this summer, when after a long break from horses and showing, I have myself a new hunter horse, and I sadly found out that I no longer fit in my lovely saddle.
This saddle has been kept in a bag, in my bedroom for all those years. As you can see from the pictures, it has no marks, doesn't even have the stirrup buckle bump in the flap. Very, very comfortable (my opinion with such limited use anyways). This particular saddle was chosen among many for me by a master saddler. More pictures available. Paid $1900 back in the day, asking $1200. Reasonable offers considered.
