Tater is a gaited SSH, non-registered. He neck reins, bathes and grooms, loads and trailers the best, stands for farrier, has good feet (currently barefoot, we shoe only for Wranglers). No health issues or lameness. He is lower in the pecking order in the pasture, has never offered to kick out, bite, rear, or buck. He rides out alone great, and can get a little nervous if separated when riding with a group. He dances and jigs a bit, but nothing that someone can't control. I am working with him on this and he is getting better. He will ride in a walking horse bit, or a snaffle. He will walk the trails, but he does like to move out also if you ask him. He behaves perfectly on over night trips, he has been to Pennyrile for a weekend with me and did great, and previous owner camped with him also. He was mainly ridden by a teenage girl before he came here. He has not been cowboyed or ridden rough. Only reason for selling this guy is I am looking for an AQHA broke mare/gelding to ride with my husband on his AQHA, and Tater is the one we can let go. Nothing wrong with this guy! He is UTD on shots and has current coggins, pulled March of 2011. He is an easy keeper, has run on pasture all summer and is slick and just right. Price is negotiable to right home.
