Breathtaking Mountain Property high in the Northern Arkansas Ozarks. Perfect Corporate retreat, Church camp, Wilderness lodge property or the Home of your Dreams!
This property has been highly improved! Several cleared ridges and open hilltop meadows seeded in Orchard grass & Lewis Clover, horses love this mix! Estimated to be approx 200 acres of cleared, hilltop meadow lands over several locations across the property. Balance of the land is rugged, heavily timbered back-woods forest country with hollers, bluffs and majestic mountain views. On a clear day you can see for miles & miles! 22 ponds, many stocked with Bass &/or Catfish. Well maintained barb wire fence bounding the 1,561 acre tract on 2 1/2 sides, with gated entrances with pull-ins from the main, county maintained road. These 3 tracts are within 1/4 mile apart. There is a recent survey of the property on file. Good hard surface Hwy fronts the 248 acre tract. Fiber optics & High-Speed Internet are avail on the property. Good Cell phone reception. Underground City/Public water lines run across the property allowing city water access for potential home(s) and Lodges. Miles of good private roads w/culverts have been built across this property by the owner and maintained with shale from the on-site shale pit. Several wild Turkey seen the day these pictures were taken. Ducks frequent the ponds. Abundant deer. Black Bear are fairly common down in the big holler, in the vicinity of the creek and spring. A few Elk have been seen from time to time. (Will not split)
The CAVE has a depth of 176 Feet and contains approx 6 miles of highly decorated passages and large rooms, with a vertical extent exceeding 200 feet below entrance. This cave is privately owned and falls within an area of large, relatively isolated timber tracts. An abundance of speleothems and generally dry caving. The cave is divided into 2 routes, the Loop route and the New Discovery section. The loop route is difficult to traverse due to numerous climbs, crawls, squeezes an steep sloping passages. Many large rooms branch off the radius of the loop, the largest being over 800 feet long. A few massive stalagmites measure over 20 feet high and 20 feet in diameter. A few of the largest helictites are 1 to 2 feet long. Total passage length of this area is approx 1.5 miles. The New Discovery section was discovered in 1976 and includes approx 2.5 miles of known passages. The largest room in this area exceeds 700 feet in length. Many of the passage branches have not been completely explored. Delicate heliotite and stalactite thickets are frequently found intermingled among tall columns and stalagmites. Beautiful beige or white flowstones highlight many areas. Many unusual mineral types are wide spread, such as nail head (calcite) spar, large arogonite crystals, gypsum flowers and crusts, etc. Many of these formations remain pristine due to their remote locations. (Info compiled by Bert Allen).
Property taxes for this property last year were $2,524.
