Wow! What a horse! Duke is a 7 year old black roan sabino gelding standing 16.2H. He was born and raised on our farm and we still own his mother. He is not registered, although he could have been and we can provide his pedigree, we just never sent in his paperwork since he was going to be a gelding and didn't ever plan on selling him, but we just dont have enough time to ride our personal horses as much as we'd like to anymore. Duke has been ridden all over, through every type of terrain you can imagine. He is a big, stout horse, fully capable of handling any size rider with ease. He will go anywhere, do anything, and looks good doing it. He stands out in the crowd whereever he goes with his blaze and 4 white stockings. He will ride alone with no issues, and has also been on organized rides up to 200 horses. He has spent many nights camping on a picket line. Duke has no vices or health problems. He loads on any type of trailer, backs out, stands for bathing and clipping, is great for the farrier and is easy to catch. He is up to date on all vaccines and worming. He will go anywhere you point him on the trail and never hesitates, whether its creeks, logs, bridges, dogs, 4 wheelers, bicycles, cars...it does not phase Duke in the least! He is not spooky whatsoever. He would be best suited for someone with a basic knowledge of riding that doesn't mind a horse with some get up and go. He does not do ANYTHING stupid, has never reared, bucked, bolted, or anything of that sort, but he is a big horse with a desire to see whats around the next corner. He is easy to handle and easy on the mouth. His gait is as smooth as silk. We invite anyone seriously interested in Duke to come take a trail ride, you will fall in love with him!
