6 year old Rocky Mountain Gaited Horse gelding. Registered and certified to gait. Beautiful chocolate color. This horse has been ridden extensively in the mountains and on the trails. He neck reins, side passes, pivots, loads, shoes and more. Currently up to date on vaccinations, worming, shoes and coggins. He is barefoot now but has been shod and is easy for the farrier. He is a tall horse with lots of bone and a big foot. If you are looking for a comfortable and flashy gaited horse that will also hold up to hard work and be a solid using horse, this is the horse for you! He is in professional training this month for a tune up. Has been ridden primarily in a snaffle but is now being ridden in a side pull as well, and does exceptionally well in that. He gaits well in anything, does not need any curb action to gait smoothly. His gait is really comfortable and what the Rockies are known for. His biggest issue is that he can be spooky. This is being addressed in training and he is improving, but he won't be completely over the issue in one month of training. He needs a consistent and confident rider as this spooking has been ingrained in him and needs a rider that will give him the confidence to feel okay with his surroundings. Will only be sold to a good home with an experienced rider. Current owners love this horse but need something older and steadier, so they are prioritizing a good home with a new owner that is a match for this horse, since he is not for just anyone. ***While this is a wonderful horse who knows a TON and has seen a lot, he is not for a beginner or inexperienced rider.
