Really lovely 16 Hh gelding with a winning personality and great attitude for sale due to farm sale. He is 16 yrs old, but not under saddle until age 10 so his back is "young". Prior to that, he was a driving horse. He trots rather than paces. He canters, but his best gait is trot. He has several trots from which to choose. He has beautiful conformation and a lovely smooth solid gait. He looks a lot like a warmblood show horse or a big QH cross. He does not look like the usual rangy standardbred. This horse is well- conformed and quite easy on the eye! His personality is laid back, but fun. He is strikingly handsome. He is very agreeable, and will do anything for someone he trusts. He loves being groomed, eating carrots, being petted, and generally attention of any kind. No attitude or dominance issues here. He was trained and used for police work until the unit folded. Once, while on patrol duty at a Sarah Palin rally, he moved gracefully and confidently through the crowd of more than 5,000 and let so many hands pet his face that we had to treat his face for fungus the next week!
We are looking for a home for him where he will be ridden and loved. He will go out alone with an "in charge" rider that he can trust. He recently took an adult first-time rider for a 20 minute ride around the farm property and completey alone. He's a mature, responsible horse who makes good decisions. He is a great "come along" horse, too. He has done many parades and is relaxed in street traffic. This exceptional horse is pet, partner, and best friend. A really great horse!
I am very interested in him but am in NC. Do you have any videos of his gaits under saddle? I'm looking for a safe, sane trail horse to teach my fiance to ride but I'm hoping to find that special one. I lost my equine soul mate 2 yrs ago (8 yo STB gelding) and am trying to find a partner like he was.
He has been marked unavailable for quite a while. But thank you for your interest.

Hello,is this horse still for sale?
He is no longer for sale.
Eli sounds like a wonderful horse - the type my 60 year old husband and I are looking for to trail ride when we move to our farm in Maryland in the next few weeks. Is Eli still available and if so, how soon must he be moved? We would love to meet him and see how he likes us.
Hi, Gloria. Thank you for your interest. I believe he may be taken. Just awaiting confirmation.
