Beginner Safe Dead Broke Quarter Horse Mare
Located in Mount Vernon, OH - This is Sonador, She is 8 , nice big knees and a very sturdy back , started jumping this year and is already jumping almost 2 feet. Has done pleasure and horsemanship before I got her then I did an open show with her in that. I started her in barrels this year and she was running a 20 on a 17.5 state qualify pattern then turned around and ran a 9.5 second down and back at an ICPHA show. She can really go any way she would wish to go with her. She also rides very well bareback, I just took her to a show and we placed 8 out 20 , it was my fault that we didn't place higher, I just couldn't keep the dollar bill under my knee. She rides and runs double. We went on a 13.3 mile trail ride at Mohican this spring and I spent half the time behind the saddle. She really isn't scared of anything, I actually wanted to start her in mounted shooting because I can sit on top of her with a big stock whip and crack it and she doesn't care but my father is going to need another horse because his horses knees are going, so I am selling her. She goes through and over anything you ask her too. Last Christmas I got thrown 50 feet and that horse destroyed my confidence, and now thanks to her I am able to run fast again. And I have all the confidence in the world. Heck I am running on a 16 second barrel horse now. And I know without her I couldn't have done that because when we went to look at her we also looked at a horse that fast and I was scared of it. And now I brush it off like its nothing. She is cinchy because the people who owned her before the girl we bought her off had her would knee her if she didn't suck in. But I have been working with her and I think if its continued it will get better. That is her cork. All horses have at least one. But it has no affect on how amazing she is when you get in saddle, and it is normally just a little ear pinning anyway. I would honestly trust her with a 5 year old, she may be big but she is sweet and protective like a mother. The only reason why she isn't a 1 on temperament is because once she knows you can handle her run she likes to run. She will test you first to see if you are ready so to speak though, in the past with my friend, my father, and I she will only canter her full speed after you have gone the slower speeds and she knows you are sitting her well at those speeds. She really is one of the mother horses. My number is 740-501-8993 have a good day :)
