It's hard to describe Daniel in a way that makes him sound real because he is so perfect. We could start by saying that he is an exquisite little red roan miniature stallion registered by the American Miniature Horse Association as a Class A mini, only 33 1/2 in. tall. He is also registered with the American Miniature Horse Registry. His conformation is excellent. He has a gorgeous head with beautiful, expressive brown eyes and a unique white star, strip, and snip from forehead to muzzle.
His coat is red with white hairs lightly interspersed throughout, which is what makes him a red roan. It's different and very interesting.
His mane and tail are flaxen in color and unusually full and long; and very beautiful when braided. When untrimmed, his mane hangs very long over his shoulder and covers his whole face from forehead to muzzle. Everyone turns to look at him. It is cropped now and accentuates the fine features of his head and neck, but it will grow out pretty fast if you want it long. We have photos so you can see what it looks like untrimmed.
He is princely in appearance and carries himself with elegance.
His personality is as great as his appearance. He is very mild mannered and unusually calm. He is obedient and so easy to be around.
Daniel is very impressive in his bearing and manner; quite in keeping with his registered name - 'Lucky Four Impressive Thumbs Up'. His pedigree is impeccable, reflecting that his sire, 'Lucky Four Galahads Impressive' is a Lucky Four Farms national champion. In his younger days Daniel made quite an impressive showing himself.
If you are looking for a herd sire, it would be hard to beat Daniel. He is an excellent one. He serves as our herd protector, services the little mares in due season, and helps correct and train the young foals. Included is a photo of his latest foal. The one before him is an all black little "Black Beauty."
He is very versatile and can do anything you ask of him. He has been trained to pull a cart. He responds to commands, comes at the call of his name, leads, ties out, loads, stands for the farrier as well as for bathing and clipping, and on and on. The time he spent on the show circuit in his younger days has made him very comfortable with people and nearly spook proof.
His gentle nature makes him well suited for making strong bonds of friendship with very young juniors as well as more experienced seniors.
If you are looking for a friend or buddy for children or for a physically challenged child, Daniel could be a forever friend. The fun, friendship and responsibility for the care and well being of another living creature is excellent training for kids of all ages. It helps them learn discipline and develop an attitude of looking beyond themselves to befriend and contribute to the welfare of others.
For a senior looking for companionship, diversion, entertainment, purposeful activity, or just plain fun, Daniel could become a marvelous little friend: someone who needs you; someone you can talk to; someone you can love and who will love you back.
One thing we have noticed is that it's hard to find an equal to the level of affection, loyalty, trust, and devotion little minis like Daniel offer. They often give much more than they receive.
Why not come by to meet Daniel and see how he might fit into your family's dreams and plans for the future. A loving family who can give him the affection, companionship and care he needs is a must!!!
He is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, hoof trimming, and coggins. He had his teeth floated last summer.
If it would help, we could discuss a layaway plan with a $250 deposit (nonrefundable) and a $10/month boarding fee. The remainder could be paid in payments or lump sum on pickup.
