Beautiful Golden Palomino Tennessee Walker
Goldie is a piece of history....She is out of Roy Roger's Trigger Junior AKA "Allens Gold Zephyr" who was a registered Walker...yes a full blooded Tennessee Walker. Not the original Trigger who was of unknown breeding but the second horse Roy used for most of the movies done in color and many of his on the road exhibitions.
The picture of the four horses together was a very sad day. Most of the gaited world knows of Brenda Imus...one of the leaders of the gaited horse world and an advocate of the sound naturally gaited horse with a DVD series and a few books such as "Gaits Of Gold"
Brenda passed away and the farm was being sold. I was contacted to help try and find homes for her horses but shipping was an issue for many. I offered to deliver the horses to their new homes at the cost of fuel. Goldie was sold but at the last minute her new owner had to back out. Goldie was left without a home so we decided to take her to Florida. The picture of the four horses was taken in upstate New York at Brenda's farm....We had big plans for Goldie but life got in the way. She is not saddle broke but loads, ties, and has no fear of anything. She is a big dog that will go to anyone, and loves attention. The little training that I have done you can see she will be very easy to finish. She has not been registered as yet but I have the contacts and all the papers. She can be registered TWHBEA and Racking..
The moment I arrived in New York I got out of the truck....the horses were huddled together just looking at me wondering who I was...I called to Goldie....she didn't hesitate to walk right to me from a far distance..the others stayed away. Goldie is an amazing horse...she was Brenda's baby that she foaled out of her own mare and stallion and we hope she will find the home she truly deserves! For the video I posted this is one of Roy Rogers movies....Trigger Junior featuring both the original Trigger and Trigger Junior...Allens Gold Zephyr. Also see photos
There are pictures of Goldie's Mom's sire and dam included here. Kia, her Mom is the cremello pictured next to Goldie on the mountain top in New York
