Beautiful Bay and White Pintabian Gelding
Spirit is a beautiful bay, black, and white pinto/Arab cross. He is gentle, and would be well suited to a confident intermediate rider. He does well at a walk and a trot, and he has a smooth canter. He stands for saddling, but sometimes he will start to walk when you try to mount. Nothing big, he is just eager to get going. He is a big sweetheart, and is very easy to get along with. He will ride out just fine alone or in small groups, the only time I had trouble with him was when another horse kicked out at him, for the rest of that ride he didn't want any of the other horses near him, but he was fine other than that. He can be a bit spooky, but a lot of it is just to test his rider. If you let him know that you won't put up with it, he is a great deal better. He is very fast, he could be an excellent barrel prospect for a rider with experience. I am sad to see him go, but I want to look for a taller horse that is a bit more laid back. He has a great deal of energy and spunk; I have taken him on six hour trail rides in Maplewood state park, and he is still just as eager and energetic at the end of the ride. I have ridden him both bareback and western, he has done fine with both. I would not recommend him for a beginner rider; he has a lot of spunk, but is willing to please. He would be best suited to someone with some experience. I have had beginners on him when I was leading him and he is extremely gentle and laid back when he is led with a rider. Price may be negotiable to a good home.
