Beautiful 10 year old 14.2 hand pinto mare
Candy isn't large in stature (just under 14.2 HH), but she has the heart of a champion. She is powerful and moves out extremely well, works exceptionally in a soft snaffle with light contact. A very bold horse, she is not one to shy or get easily bothered by her environment. Easy to handle and wonderful in hand, she's been no problem leading, tying, clipping, grooming, saddling, etc. I've had many very enjoyable rides on her, both under saddle and bareback (in just a halter!). This mare loves to work! She is very strong and quite capable and comfortable carrying a larger rider (I'm just over 200 Lbs). With her attitude, I can see her being an exception mount for an intermediate to advanced rider and would likely excel as a pony power and speed horse or a great all-arounder.
Candy has been used western in the past. She has a great deal of speed and power, but I'm not proficient enough in western to accurately tell her training and background. She does like to move though. I've now started her English, working some basic dressage and jumping. She is extremely willing and supple, moves well laterally and has a good approach to poles and jumps. Her get away from the jump is smooth, controlled and soft.
Candy is UTD with her shots and wormer, as well as with a qualified farrier. She is a rock solid, sound horse. Although I have limited history on her, I have been over her very thoroughly and I can't find a scratch on her. Hips, knees, shoulders, fetlocks and hocks are all quite mobile and flexible.
This mare is worth taking a look at. As more training goes into her, and her talents become more obvious her price will go up. Take advantage while you can and put this rising star to work for you!
