Barrel racing prospect for sale
I am looking to find a good home for my Appaloosa mare. She is 14 years old, and 15.2hh. I have ridden her western and english, as well as bareback, She rides in a hackamore or a curb bit. She would be best suited for a advanced rider, as she has a lot of energy and get up and go. She will test you, and likes to get her way. She has been shown in 4H, and taken to a couple gaming events and did well. I have patterned her on the barrel and pole pattern, and she really loves it. She is fast, and can turn tightly around the barrel, and drop her shoulder. She is an exellent trail horse, But will stop and look at new things that interest her, not spook at them. She has been ridden on the road, around cars, over bridges, in the river, on the high mountain, and will go over logs. She bathes, loads, hauls, stands to be saddled, ext. She is not to crazy about being sprayed with flyspray, but will get over it with a little work. She has been trained using Clinton Anderson methods, and is amazing on the ground. She free longes in a pasture or round pen, or lunges on a lunge line. She is respectful of fences, and a easy keeper. She would excell with someone who wants to do gaming events, as that is her passion. She has a attitude, but just needs consistancy and to be ridden 3-5 times a week, I have also ridden her bridless, and she is doing really well at it. She knows walk, trot, and woah. She is rusty on her flying lead changes, but knows them. She knows haunch turns, but is rusty on forehand turns. She is an amazing horse that will take someone far. She has never had any soundness issues. I can ride her bareback in a rope halter and lead no problem. I just do not have the time for her right now with school, work, and my other horse to ride.
