Tuff" is an exceptional example of the foundation appaloosa of days gone by . He is a 93% foundation-bred, homozygous black and white appaloosa stallion, is ApHC-registered, and is International Colored Appaloosa Association (ICAA), Sundance 500 , and Foundation Appaloosa Horse Registry (FAHR) eligible. His pedigree boasts multiple World and National ApHC champions, from a time when horses not only haltered, but also performed! We believe "Tuff" possesses the perfect combination of athleticism, attitude, and looks to help build a great appaloosa as intended from past bloodlines. **His first foal, a black stud colt has been successfully shown in halter and in-hand classes by a teenage girl, earning second place in an open class behind a Cleveland Bay. (see second photo) **His second foal is is a dark bay snowflake/roan with heavy mottling. His third foal is a gorgeous stud colt, black with blanket (also for sale). His fourth foal is a black with sclera stud colt.

Tuff Built Legacy has been successfully collected and frozen semen is managed by Roanoke A.I. Laboratories, Inc. We can also arrange cooled transported semen with some advance notice via Nandi Vet Associates.

He is showcased as the model appaloosa in the third edition (p.190) of the book, Equine Color Genetics. He has training under saddle, been ridden on trail rides and has begun cattle work. As a yearling, he was Reserve Grand Champion Halter stallion at the Keystone International Livestock Show.
