This is a 15 year old AQHA registered gelding, stands around 14.3-15 hands high. He's been running barrels for about 5 years now, and is running consistent 19's and 20's on big patterns and between 14's to 16's on smaller. Would be perfect for a junior high competitor wanting to step up to a horse with a little more speed. For the last two months I've been riding him outside on the ranch. Opening gates, going up the mountain, through brush and trees. He really enjoys it and can cover some ground. He rides smoothly at all gaits. He has clean, straight legs and a nice hip on him. The only things I have noticed with him is he can be cold backed if not ridden consistently and also is a hard keeper, other than that nothing is wrong with this horse. I have goat tied on him but not very much, and have also packed flags. I would suggest an intermediate to experienced rider. I've never had gate issues, he'll prance all the way in is about it. He stands great for the farrier and is UTD on shots and coggins. He's a sweetheart and always the first to greet you in the corrals. The only reason I'm selling is because I'm wanting another rope horse and getting out of barrels. The first two pictures were taken on 8/4/11, the 3rd picture was taken june of this year and the last one was last year in high school rodeo. I can take more pictures if need be. The price on him is firm.
