APHA 4H & All Around Ranch Prospect
Oh Be Kraze aka "Tucker" is a 2010 model APHA regular registry (thank goodness for his hind stocking!) gelding. He is sorrel with two stockings and a unique roan spot on his right hip. His tail also has the "ombre" look to it with different shades of brown and black mixed in! His breeding is mainly western pleasure, but his sire throws very versatile babies so he could go any directions. Plus he's athletic enough to do just about anything! He stands 15.0h and still growing! UTD on farrier, vaccinations, and worming. Trailer loads and unloads great! Clips, bathes, blankets, etc. Stands great for farrier, vaccinations (even the strangles up the nose), and deworming.
I cannot say enough good things about this fella. Sweetest horse you will meet. Has a laid back personality. He's used to dogs jumping up on him and running around, kids screaming and fussing on him, tractors, aerial spray planes flying overhead, etc. Rides away from the herd just fine.
Awesome ground manners as he had some Clinton Anderson techniques done. Very soft in the face. I mainly ride him in a snaffle or a bosal, but I have ridden him around in just a halter and lead and he listened perfectly. Nice slow, smooth gaits. Good whoa and backs up with little pressure! Picks up the correct lead 9 times out of 10. Started on loping circles and he's coming along nicely. Has a very low head and wants to keep it there when he's working so be a great western pleasure prospect. He's started on rollbacks and working off his hind end nicely.
He's my go to horse for beginner riders. I've used him to lead kids around the arena, and they're chattering and bouncing around doesn't bother him. He will need more ride time before I would consider him a kid's horse just because he is young and quick on his feet. He's been on 8 mile trail rides next to busy highways with semis flying by, and trailers rattling and he doesn't bat an eye. He's walked around the barrel pattern (nothing major) but he listens and bends well. He's had rope swung off him, feet and legs roped to get used to the feeling, and he takes it all in stride. Previous owners used him for checking cattle on cornstalks and roped off him, but never dallied down.
Asking $3,500. GREAT home is a must as I really do not want to let this spectacular guy go, but just not having the time to finish him like I wanted to. References will need to be provided for sure. I will also try to get more pictures. That picture was taken in June so he's filled out more and his mane is longer. He's a little fluffier now too with his winter woolies on! :)
**Update: Have new photos from 11/30/13 plus several short videos for SERIOUS inquiries only. NO tire kickers.
