Amazing and Beautiful! Trail, dressage, jumping and western
youtube video of riding under saddle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcIPQEIKWwg youtube video / pics of desensitizing, trails, etc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEx4o_Zj79M&feature=channel New Video! You've got to see these ground manners: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4auaN6sczI Mo is extremely supple and responsive. He is VERY light on the bit. Great walk to canter departures and he knows his leads. Seriously HUGE stop (you’d better be sitting back!) at any gate, beautiful side pass, really nice pivot on the hindquarters, pivots on forehand, good lateral and vertical flexion, and easy to move shoulders and hips separately. He has beautiful collected gates, but also moves out with ease. Only goes the speed that is requested of him. Mo does NOT buck, rear, bolt or otherwise try to dump a rider. He doesn’t even test new riders. He always tries to please and do what is asked. On the trail…this guy is bull dozer! He’ll go through, over or under anything and rarely even hesitates when coming up on an obstacle. Go through the deepest, boggiest mud, through a creek, over a jump or cross a bridge – matters not to this guy. No trail issues - rides off alone and away from herd with no problem, no grass snatching, no jigging, and no racing back to the barn. He a very good leader but also has no issues being the last horse on the trail. He’s been hauled to quite a few off site trail rides and always does exceptionally well in new locations. We’ve recently started competing in the ACTHA competitive trail rides and he has been doing great. Also, during cooler months, I take him out alone down the road to the next town over. It’s about a 12 mile ride. He’s traffic safe. This guy can go all day long and cover serious ground! For a big boy, he has lots of endurance. I’ve also ridden him down the trail in just a halter – he does fine either way. On the ground…Mo is perfect gentleman. He is 100% safe and I trust anyone and everyone around him. No biting, no kicking, no pawing, no pulling back when tied, etc. He’s been trained to stay out of your space unless invited. Mo also ground ties perfectly. Drop the rope and leave him be – he’ll just stand there and wait for the invite to move forward. Mo is also hobble trained, easy to catch and has no issues with picking up feet, loading, clipping, saddling, bridling, being fly sprayed, etc. He also lunges well and has had ground driving training. Stands to be mounted and dismounted (either side). Some other things to note…Mo is 100% sound and UTD on all shots, de-worming, hoof trimming and teeth floating. No history of colic, founder or other illness. Easy keeper and gets along well with other horses. We bought Mo from the breeding farm where he was born, so we have his complete history and even baby pictures! He is a very sweet boy and will make someone very happy.
