This little guy is a project donkey & priced accordingly. He is a super social little bugger and if you find the bray of a donkey entertaining, this is your guy. Cuervo has LOTS to say and it is hilarious. He talks to the hay. He talks to the grain. He talks to the people. He talks to the other horses. He may even talk to Bill the barn cat when I'm not around! I'm pretty sure Cuervo had never seen a halter until I put one on him....that was the first strain on our relationship. He was almost over that insult when he started getting the sniffles so I started a round of penicillin....that was the final strain on our relationship. He hasn't forgiven me and I'm not so sure that he ever will! Sigh.....and so, Cuervo sells as a project donkey!
There is not a mean bone in his little donkey body. He does not kick or bite. He wants to be friends, just not with me. Leading lessons will also result in talking....I believe that he is screaming for someone to come and save him when I lead him....I don't speak donkey so I am just guessing.
With his vocalizing, I believe that Cuervo will grow up to make a good guardian donkey. He is young and he has not shown aggression to the other critters around here so he would likely integrate into a flock of goats, sheep, etc. well.
