Westwood is sired by eventing three-time champion, Grafenstolz, but his grandsire (Polarion) competed in Grand Prix dressage at the international level with Laura Bechtolsheimer! Laura Bechtolsheimer was the 2012 Olympic bronze medal winner in individual dressage and gold team medal winner.
Westwood has his lifetime UELN number. Westwood was bred by frozen semen imported from Europe. His sire, Grafenstolz, won the 2004 eventing Bundeschampionat with a score of 9.7! Also in 2004 Grafenstolz won the World Championships for Eventing in Lion de Angers, France, and won the KI-S in Marbach in 2005. Besides eventing, Grafenstolz won a puissance (high jump competition) at just slightly less than 7 feet.
Grafenstolz is now competing in Grand Prix dressage in England.
Westwood's dam is a winning race mare, Wildwood Mahogany, who went on with a successful second career as a hunter. Her sire is the stakes-winner of almost $700,000, Mahogany Hall.
Westwood is easy, easy, easy. Unflappable is what I would call him.
A Grafenstolz son won the 5 year old young eventers at the Burghley Horse Trials, 4 1/2 points ahead of the nearest competitor. http://www.bdwp.co.uk/bur/11/

His current height is 15.3 hands and 1/2 inch at the age of 21 months, so I estimate he will be at least 16.1 or 16.2 when he is done growing.
