His sire, Monarcha de Vez, was the National Buggy Champion in '94 and '96, and took 3rd place in a National Largo Race. When clocked for an hour he covered 18.6 miles!
Prince's grandsire is the famous Coral LaCE who won the National All-Breed, All-Events Competition in 1988, and is considered to be one of the three best Performance Stallions in American History. Grandsire on his dam's side is Hilachas, whose offspring have won 66 National championships in the last 6 years.
Prince spent most of his life as a stallion (gelded in 2008). When he gets in his "largo" gait, other horses, including Paso Finos have to canter to keep up. I can put him anywhere. He is a very experienced Paso Fino. Awesome at chasing cows...unflappable in a parade (sirens and semi-truck horns don't phase him)...and very smart. I have over 1000 hours of riding time on him...trails, roundups, parades and "rough riding" (cruising through hilly country at 30 MPH...the most fun I ever had on a horse).
He's never had a bit in his mouth, nor ever been shod. When he canters or gallops, he literally glides like he's on wheels. To be truthful, I can't believe I'm selling him, but I have a couple of young horses that I'd like to become as good as he is, and that takes a lot of riding.
