On Saturday he went through a whole course and cleared a 3 foot oxer with out difficulty. I think he's a natural at it. He picks up his right lead 8/10 times now and is calmer. :]] He's so sweet. He could be a show horse in no time. **General Info** Cody is eight years old and has an elegance to him. He was a race horse for a while and retired two years ago from the track. Does not crib. He needs alot of attention and tends to be calmer and easier to work with if he is ridden a couple times per week. I dont have the time to give him the attention he needs and want the best for him. He is a little challenging at times but thats expected of a green horse. He can walk, trot, canter but has difficulty picking up his right lead. I have tried taking him over poles at the trot and asking him to pick up the right lead over cross rails and he seems to pick it up better when we do that. He needs an experienced rider because he is a little high spirited. I am not a beginner but have only been riding horses for a couple years and he needs a rider with confidence. He senses nerves easily. Cody attaches to people and horses very well. After being a race horse he was pretty lean (not unhealthy just very lean) he has gained about 150 pounds. If your looking for a horse who you can bond with here he is. He's a wonderful companion and I am torn that I have to sell him.
