when I arrived:
September of 2012 I and my trainer rode and evaluated the horse--I wanted my own smaller stature gaited horse--owned by a Tucson dentist. He told us he'd be the best retired show horse for trail riding. Trainer hauled him back home for me.
Beautiful, registered paso fino gelding is sired by Aldeano de Sol Reye, out of Porcelena. He is 12 years old with lots of show experience and training. He was 2009 California Performance Champion gelding and could go back in the show ring and win!
This buckskin beauty with outstanding show quality is a perfect match and companion for an experienced rider who doesn't mind covering ground quickly on a horse with a high energy fino gait. Sturdy, shorter horse (14.2hh) covers greater distances.
Surprisingly enough he favors oranges, watermelon rinds, and carrot-spice horse treats over the usual carrots and apples. Children, small goats and dogs like to come up to him, and whenever his rider starts talking to a non-rider he'll quit moving.
He's been out on trails a few times, but he would rather show off his very spirited fino gait in the arena. He's more interested in socializing with other horses or trying out something new and tasty that he's never shown interest in toys.
