2004 AQHA/FQHA Registered - 95.31% foundation old bloodline mare. She's 99% BOMB PROOF. Penny's training consists of: Halter- gives to pressure, safe on the ground (no kicking, rearing, biting.) Around age 4 she was trained in long line and some english saddle. She then progressed to a summer of western training and working cattle ranch experience. For several years Penny has been rode trail and country roads. All day trail riding is no problem for her. This mare is fully broke (not green broke where somebody has just got in the saddle and stayed there a few minutes...) She has been transported by trailer 100's of miles/several trips. Only known vices are that she bloats a little when saddled and sometimes side steps when mounting. Easy fixes with training patience. Penny has no problems trims and shoeing, with grooming and baths, cross ties, she loads and trailers, she gets along well with other pasture buddies, stalls fine, does not rear, buck, kick, bite or crib. Penny doesn't get moody when in heat. She has comfortable, smooth western gates but can move out when asked to. She gives to leg pressure, heal and rein. She seems to sense inexperienced riders and kids. She's just a nice "all round" safe horse. I wanted a horse "husband safe" and she is. If my husband can ride her, anyone can! She's been an excellent trail and country road horse for him. She's safe on the ground and in the saddle. She's always been healthy and an easy keeper. She's an eye catcher wherever she goes-- she has a nice blaze and some tall white socks. Some of the attached pics were taken in the spring when she still had some winter coat. In the summer she ha a soft copper coat with a light sorrel mane (see summer pasture photos.) 15.3 hands and about 1,000 pounds. She has never been bred and is also an excellent breeding prospect. We've had her since she was a yearling. She's been handled and loved daily since. Reluctantly we are selling her due to health issues, so going out of the horse business. To a good home only and I may request references. $1,650 or best reasonable offer. This is a steal for a foundation Quarter Horse that is broke, safe and trail experienced. Serious inquiries please. We cannot provide transportation for a buyer. I'm located off I65 exit 65 Munfordville, KY 42765. Please call 270-218-0107 or 270-473-0057 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Calls preferred.
