21" (21.5") Windsor Aristocrat super grip, adjustable bars
SOLD 7/12/13 -- Saddle plus navy saddle case, choice of 4.25" or 4.5" Korsteel stainless irons, a pair of starter leathers that will do until you can buy calfskin leathers, and a saddleseat running martingale.
This fine saddle is equivalent to the Shively MMX, but a more comfortable ride. Softer padded seat. More natural seating position that doesn't force you into a chair seat.
Almost like new! Just look at the photos. Complete set of pics on Photobucket:
Windsor "Aristocrat" by American Alliance. Made in England. These were made by Barnsby, I believe. This saddle sells for $2200 new.
This is the top of the line Windsor cutback that has the "bull hide" or buffalo leather, or calfskin-type leather (I've heard it called all of those), for grip like the Shively MMX and the Freedman saddles. Layered leather, like the MMX. It has a fine grain texture, instead of the obvious pattern of the L&R buffalo leather saddles and the Joseph Sterling Milennium 3000. This is more conservative-looking, for you Morgan and ASB riders.
Adjustable stirrup bars, 4 position easy-change slider type.
This saddle has a V-billet arrangement of the 6 billets.
The soft padded seat is nicely dished, not flat. Allows the rider to move in the seat to show off the horse. The round cantle allows the rider's coat to blow back gracefully, instead of catching on the saddle.
The nailheads are blue.
The panels are very cushion-y.
The tree width is about the same as a Shively, and the tree is a little straighter/flatter like that, too. It's not as 'banana" as the regular Barnsby.
