2012 Liver Chestnut Filly by Hangon Johnny RID out of Winmaur Vera Too RID

Winmaur Vera Too by Snowford Bellman RID out of Winmaur Bright Overture RID by Enniskeane Pride out of the great mare Overdraught.

Winmaur Vera Too is the dam of the US National Champion mare Penmerryl's Vespa(Touch of the Blues)

Granddam Overdraught is also the dam of Winmaur Over The Top who is the producer of the approved stallion Sonrise Genesis.
This filly was bred to be a producer. Her dam is by the great Snowford Bellman who is the sire of approved stallions Winmaur Seargeant Pepper, Harkaway Lionhawk, Grogan's High Fidelity and Bridon Belfry. Importantly, Bellman is also an astounding damsire of approved stallions including Avanti Amorous Archie and Penmerryl's Rhythm And Blues. Her sire Hangon Johnny was bred for sport and moved for sport. I felt very lucky for the chance to use a greatgrandson of Tara and a grandson of Ben Purple. The great Irish Draught stallion Tara(Sire of Atlantic Boy noted broodmare sire) was the broodmare of Seacrest(sire of living legend Cruising) a renown jumping line in Irish sport horse breeding. The stallion Ben Purple is one of the great broodmare lines in Irish breeding. People held on to their Atlantic Boy and Ben Purple mares through hell and high water. Hangon Johnny was hidden in the depths of Iowa with no access to purebred mares for most of his breeding life in the US and in Great Britain he was in remote Wales. For those of us who have Hangon Johnny offspring we are convinced of his ability to bring athleticism to any cross. For me the pleasure of seeing Johnny move brought truth to the belief that Irish Draughts CAN move and be competitive with warmbloods. Even in his 20s Johnny had big powerful movement behind. His hind leg reached deep under his body and was quick and carrying. He had the freedom in the shoulder to be elastic and get out of the way of the power from behind. He always improved the shoulders and neck placements of the mare and gave his foals his wonderful neck and lovely arched throatlatch and great head attachment. They are handsome and pretty with a lovely intellegent eye. They are thinkers and you should be an accomplished amateur to do well with the Johnny's. If you have the confidence and experience to be incharge of your horse you should do well with both Irish Draughts and Hangon Johnny offspring.
