Abrams has one blue eye and the heart of 10 horses. He's always looking to please and is a fun ride for an advanced horseman but has the temperament and manners that will keep a beginner safe. He has been my primary horse for 6 years now, and I trained him myself using ONLY natural horsemanship methods. He has done just about everything and has potential left untapped. We've traveled all over the state of Georgia trail riding for fun and even competed twice in ACTHA events. Abrams won third place at his second and last competition. I would have competed more but had three boys in sports so the time to prepare and money to compete was too much at the time.
Abrams is extremely brave and can be ridden alone or in a group. He really has no vices. He also helped me break in my little three year old mare by ponying her for the past two years. He's done kids' events and ridden children for me at charity events but has the get up and go to take off at a gallop with me on him and take on a jump. We even chased cows at a cutting event once, although he'd need quite a bit more work to be cutting ready. He also lets my 14 year old son ride him and gallops off like it's nothing.
If I were keeping Abrams in Alaska, I'd use him for trails, hunting or to rope or rodeo. I brought him up from Georgia in May but just won't have the place to keep him or the time to ride him given our family's other commitments here. I'd like to see him go to a good home where I can keep up with his progress and enjoy watching (through pictures) him continue his work as a productive horse. I'll also include his winter horse blanket, hoof boots, lead rope and bridle in his sale.
I'm also selling my almost four-year-old AQHA cutting mare (pictured with Abrams) and a three horse slant load trailer and would be willing to discuss a package deal if you are interested.
Call me if you have any additional questions, want to see more pictures or are ready to meet Abrams in person.
