Registered Chestnut Haflinger Gelding with long eyelashes looking for a partner to call his own. Max is 13 years young, 14.3 hands, Parelli trained to be bombproof, and is currently in work as a hippotherapy horse, where he is led wearing a rope halter and bareback pad, while a child rides on his back.Max was also a star vaulting horse (at a walk and trot), who worked with kids with autism and could be counted on to follow verbal direction no matter what. Recently he competed in his first schooling dressage show, where he brought home two blue ribbons.
Max came to us with "sweet itch"-- an allergic reaction to the bite of a gnat, which is now controlled with allergy medication and prevention. Gnat bites can be prevented by staying stalled under a fan in the summer during dusk and dawn.
Max would love to partner up with someone who enjoys pleasure riding, long walks on the beach, and to whom he can show off his sweet trick of smiling for a treat.
(The reason Max is looking for one partner to call his own: he is a one-person kind of guy. He likes going on trails, and challenges where he has connected with his rider, not being a "lesson" horse. He would make a great partner for the right person!)
