Max is a handsome 17-year-old dun Quarter horse Arab cross. I’ve had him for about a year and evented him at BN this past summer. Unfortunately in July 2012 we discovered he had an old knee injury (from a previous owner) that had never been treated properly. He had surgery with hopes he’d return to eventing. The surgery was successful in that Max can have a healthy career as a flat horse, but should not be jumping anymore. Max is a forward trail horse who could be a lot of fun for someone who likes to trot/canter/gallop on trails. He’s fine with leading groups or on his own, in western or English tack. Max is not a beginner’s horse because he can get a little strong. Fine with dogs, water crossing, cars and ATVs. Also a good dressage prospect; knows his leads and holds a bend well. A LOVING HOME IS A MUST. Solid ground manners, goes well with front shoes or bare foot (current), stands for the vet and farrier, stands on cross ties forever, trailers, fine with clippers. The only reason he’s for sale is that he can no longer event. Max is an honest horse with a great personality looking for a great home to start his new career! Free lease or sale, priced to keep him out of the auction. Contact is my trainer.
