Antique well cared for Box Buggy with Auto TopThis Box Buggy made at the Columbia Carriage Company, in Hamilton, Ohio in 1909 has its original brass sticker and logo under the seat. It has been restored for use in Class A Arabian horse shows and local Mountain parades. It has been well cared with annual wheel packing of grease for those leather busings and it has been stored carefully in a dry carriage barn since its restoration by Olson Horse & Carriage, Black Forest, Colorado in 1994. There are safety features utilized by Bob Olson that were not in existence at the time of its construction. The roll bars on each side of buggy to stop the possiblility of jack knifing or jamming of the front wheels and other front wheel turning features as part of the frame. The 2 gas light fixtures feature a small red glass "back light" for your brake light. The side panels are removeable and the back panel has a small back window and can be rolled up. The entire top can be dropped. Under the seat is a storage compartment as is the back of the "box" buggy behind and under the seat. Comfy leaf springs make for a safe, quiet, and wonderfully smooth ride on the original wheels covered with rubber. All parts of the buggy were in their original condition before restoration and safety updates added. There is a shaft for a single horse with emergency "snap- ons" to the buggy--original and rather nuevo for its time. Asking $2500 OBO
