17.1, 6 year old Buckskin Thoroughbred gelding for Lease, (Desi). I am currently eight months pregnant and expecting in April. Desi is currently leased on site until April 30th. I have been very happy with the lessee and had hoped for a renewal at the time, but she is unable to renew due to personal circumstances. The current lessee has been very helpful in assisting me to find a new potential lessee. You are able to try Desi now and we may even be able to work out a partial lease before the end of April if you are interested in getting started. Otherwise, the lease will begin on May 1st and be for a minimum of six months with the option to renew. I am even open to leasing with the option to buy to the right person. Please note, he is currently not for sale and would only be offered for sale after leasing. Desi has been trained dressage/hunter/jumper and is started over fences. The current lesee has worked with him primarily on the flat. She has been riding him about three days a week since November. Since he is young he needs miles and an intermediate rider (no beginners please). He is very easy going and can even be a bit slow under saddle. While green, he is very willing and tries very hard to please. Coupled with his mellow attitude, he is a fun horse to work with. He has good ground manners and puppy-dog personality. I bred his mother and have owned him since he was a day old. The facility where he is currently boarded has a large stone dust ring complete with jumps and lights (for night riding). There is also a very large open field for hill work. There is not a lot of access to trails. This has always been fine since my focus has been training for hunter showing. I would prefer an on-site lease (Churchville (Bel Air), MD-Price listed is for on-site only) , but I am willing to consider off-site on case by case basis (*must be within 1 hour driving distance to Baltimore*). The lease is a full lease, ride up to 5 days per week, with a minimum of two rides a week. I am flexible on lease terms. Desi and his lessee currently work with a trainer once a week. I will require that lessons continue with a minimum of two per month. I am willing to discuss paying for lessons based on price and trainer. I am happy to answer any questions you may have!
