Front is flared and a good 1 1/2" of flex. Seat is very comfortable = very flat no huge rise in front of your pubic area. Western flat rigged, has lace stirrups that are easy to change..I was suprized...Pretty cool design actually. STURDY TREE and Pommel to pony off of. Great saddle to start young horses.
