13 Yr Old Bay Quarter Horse Gelding
Really need to figure something out so that I am able to get something different for my kids... Please help 13yr old grade Bay quarter horse gelding. He stands about 15.3+ I would have to tape for sure. Boone was a rope horse his entire life, and pretty good at it. He walks like a rope horse, if you understand what that means. Boone has been on trails, down the road ( he is traffic safe to any type of vehicles including farm machinery), he has been rode by beginners and advanced riders, shown this last weekend at county fair and did very well. He loads like a dream, dances a little bit for a bath, stands for vet and farrier. Boone can not be rode double he will buck. Also on the trails Boone is great as long as another horse doesn't come up on his butt he will kick out. Nothing mean just a get away from me. Last Fall Boone was even rode to DQ in town and did great with it. Farrier says his hind feet are great they barely ever need a trim. He ...stays in a fence that is hot, ties to a trailer or in the barn all day long if asked. Overall a really nice horse. He does ride in a full bar saddle and pretty much any bit he does well in a dog bone bit. His downfall is if he is not rode by a rider that will get after him to move out he would rather walk, now hold a rope in your hand and a totally different horse he will move where ever you want. We took him team sorting last spring and he loved it. He loves to work on cows. Boone would make a really nice horse for a young rider with experience that is able to make him move out. Boone does not like to be clipped either, u can cut his bridle path with scissors but that is about it. The moving out is the reason and only reason he is for sale or trade bc I have a 6yr old son that is looking for step up horse and Boone was suppose to be that but he is just to hard for him to get to move out. We are looking for a nice gentle trail horse that has been around/ on cows for my son to ride and something that mom likes to ride too. So we are open to trades. We are not looking for something that has one foot in a grave either. Boone will not leave if we don't feel the match is right. We are open stock trailers or 2 horse Gooseneck Trailers as well, no ponies. Please contact me at 920 242 45fourfive anytime day or night calls or texts are fine. We are asking $1200 outright for him.See more
