LaReina Roja is a flashy 12 year old, 14.2 hand, chestnut mare who will get you noticed wherever you go. Well muscled enough to please even a QH lover, yet refined , elegant and feminine enough for the Arab or Saddlebred fan. She will do a flat walk, saddle rack, and she has a lovely canter and knows both her leads. She will gait all day and is very smooth. She knows how to leg yield, sidepass, turn on the forehand and the hindquarters.. She stands rock still to mount. she competed successfully in CTC rides .She is bold and brave and has been on the trail with geldings, mares, in large and small groups and has never kicked. I have never shown her other than the trail challenge, but I have no doubt she would do well in the show ring. She is friendly and loves attention. She has always been healthy, and low maintenance. She is sound barefoot, always been kept current on vaccinations and worming. She has been my trail mare for the last 7 years. I bought her as yearling. She is registered with the Racking Horse Association and checked in foal to Chances Sure Gold (Cremello TWH Stalliion) for an early September palomino foal. She had one handsome foal for me and she is a wonderful mother.
She has never bucked, reared or bolted. I still ride her in a snaffle bit with light contact, although she has been in a curb a few times and did fine. She stops from the seat and rides and turns from your leg and is light and responsive. She is not suitable for a beginner or a timid rider unless it was supervised because she might decide she could be the boss if her rider is not assertive. I think she would make a good lesson horse because she is well trained and just the right amount of challenging. I am willing to work with someone to find her the perfect new person. I have videos on You Tube of her being ridden
