*UPDATE* I put a bitless bridle on Payton an rode him bareback in an out of the pen today. He seemed nervous, but did ok for not being ridden in over 2 yrs. He did way better than I thought he was gonna. If you're experienced, you'll get him riding nice again.
11 yr. old quarter/arab cross gelding about 15 hands. Beautiful, great build, nice big thigh, healthy, very easy keeper, stands for farrier, holds foot up for you. HOOVES WERE JUST TRIMMED.You don't have to catch him, he comes when you call his name or even sees you. Friendly, saddles and bridles very well. Broke, but hasn't been ridden in a long time so will need experienced rider.
HISTORY:
His first owners had him till he was 8, and rode him a lot on trails and along the roads and he was traffic safe. They sold him along with a mare to my husband's boss for his 11 & 12 yr old kids -they were all beginners. The kids rode him about 6 months then left him sit for the past 2 1/2 years because of disinterest. When his daughter went to ride him last month she said he tossed his head and didn't want to listen - I was gonna tune him up him up & use him for trails this spring, but decided I just won't have time so don't want to feed him all winter.
I have lunged him 5 times. He lunges well. I lunged him once with my husband on him, and he did well with that too. He should tune up nicely.
$200 for a quick sale, but if I keep riding him and tune him up myself his price will go up accordingly. I do plan on taking him out this weekend again for a 1 1/2 ride which consists of riding along the road and through a corn field. 320-493-1120
