Meet Cricket! A nine year old, Tennessee Walking Horse gelding. He is a smaller guy at 13.2, but to ride him and be around him you'd never know it. He rides and handles like a big horse, and has no trouble keeping up with the big boys. Cricket really shines on the trail, he is confident and not spooky acting. We have also taken him to several field trials this past fall as well as riding in a funeral procession. He is up for anything you throw at him. This sweet guy is very in your pocket and loves attention. He has a can do attitude, and genuinely wants to please his people. He is responsive to commands and has a great handle. He's not hot or pushy, but can ride all day. Cricket is a fun horse to ride and has a lot of heart and a good size motor. He has a true, natural head shaking walk, and a nice canter. He does it all barefoot and he has absolutley NO pace. He rides out confidently by himself, but is also quiet while riding in any position in a group. Wonderful trail horse. He will easily maneuver ditches, step over logs, cross bridges, and go through water. Cricket will stand tied patiently for hours, and is content to picket overnight on camping trips. He loads right in the trailer and you won't even know he's back there going down the road. He will back off quietly, or he will turn around and step down just as easily. Cricket has been exposed to a lot of obstacles; dogs, cars, atvs, motorcycles, farm equipment, tarps, flags, bicycles, cows, goats, donkeys, chickens, and teeter totters just to name a few. Doesn't bat an eye at traffic. He easily adapts to new places. He has great ground manners. He's easy to catch, simply walk into his pasture with your halter and go put it on him. He is no trouble to clip. He is very mannerly at feeding time. Stands patiently for the vet and farrier. Cricket is sound and healthy. He has no lameness issues or health problems. He is up to date on shots(including West Nile), deworming, farrier, and has a current coggins. No vices or bad habits. He will be sold with a current coggins, recent health certificate, and a vet examination report. After purchase, Cricket will be taken for a thorough vet exam at our expense. (This does not include x-rays or bloodwork. This can be added at the buyers expense.) If for any reason he is found to be unsound or unhealthy, a full refund will be issued(as stated in our purchase agreement).
